Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 1/4 cups milk

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons melted butter (plus extra for the pan)

Optional toppings: whipped cream, fresh fruits, chocolate sauce, or maple syrup

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt until well combined.

In another bowl, whisk the eggs, then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, whisking gently until you achieve a thin batter—ensure no lumps remain.

Let the batter rest for about 30 minutes at room temperature; this helps improve the texture.

Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with a little melted butter.

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the center of the pan, then quickly tilt and swirl the pan to spread the batter evenly into a thin circle.

Cook for about 1-2 minutes or until the edges start to lift and the bottom is light golden brown.

Carefully flip the crepe using a spatula and cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute on the other side.

Transfer the cooked crepe to a plate and repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed.

Serve your crepes warm, topped with your favorite ingredients such as whipped cream, fresh fruits, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
