Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 lemon (zested and juiced)

2 tablespoons capers, drained

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the skillet: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.

Cook the salmon: Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes, until the skin is crispy. Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

Make the sauce: In the same skillet, add the butter and let it melt. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant but not browned.

Add the cream and lemon: Pour in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Add Dijon mustard and capers. Mix well and let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.

Return the salmon: Gently place the cooked salmon back into the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over the top. Let it cook for another minute to warm through.

Garnish and serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped fresh parsley and lemon slices. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious one-pan meal!
