Instructions

Make the Dough:

In a large mixing bowl, combine warmed milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy. In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add melted butter and eggs to the milk mixture, then gradually add the flour mixture, stirring until a dough forms.

      Knead the Dough:

Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

          Prepare the Filling:

In a medium bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside. In another bowl, toss the chopped apples with 1 tablespoon of the cinnamon mixture.

              Roll Out the Dough:

Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 16x24 inches). Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top, followed by the chopped apples.

                  Shape the Rolls:

Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Slice into 12 equal pieces, and place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cut side up. Cover and let them rise again for 30-45 minutes.

                      Bake the Rolls:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes in the pan.

                          Make the Frosting:

In a bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until fluffy. Gradually mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Add milk until desired frosting consistency is achieved.

                              Frost and Serve:

Spread the cream cheese frosting over the warm cinnamon rolls. Serve immediately and enjoy the delicious combination of flavors!
