20 jumbo pasta shells

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1 egg, beaten

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

2 cups marinara sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook the Pasta Shells: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the jumbo pasta shells and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water, then place on a baking sheet to cool.

      Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

        Stuff the Shells: Take each cooked shell and carefully fill it with the spinach and ricotta mixture, using a spoon or your hands. Place the stuffed shells in a large baking dish, open side up.

          Add Marinara Sauce: Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are well covered.

            Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of the marinara sauce.

              Bake the Dish: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
