Ingredients

8 oz linguine pasta

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie works great)

1/2 cup unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Juice of 1 lemon

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Salt to taste

Instructions

Cook the Linguine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set aside.

Prepare the Cowboy Butter: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

Flavor the Butter: Stir in the smoked paprika, onion powder, dried oregano, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Cook for another minute to toast the spices.

Combine Ingredients: Add the shredded chicken to the skillet and mix well, letting it warm through for about 3-4 minutes.

Add the Sauces: Pour in the Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice. Stir to combine, then add the reserved pasta water a little at a time to create a creamy sauce. Let simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Toss with Linguine: Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss everything together until well coated in the buttery sauce. Taste and season with salt as needed.

Serve: Plate the linguine and top with fresh chopped parsley for a burst of color and flavor.
