Ingredients

1 pound salmon fillet, skinless and boneless, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying

Chopped green onions for garnish

Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Marinate the Salmon: In a medium bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, cornstarch, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the salmon pieces and gently toss to coat them in the marinade. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.

Prepare Breading Station: On a clean plate, place the all-purpose flour. Take each piece of marinated salmon and dredge it in the flour, ensuring it's coated evenly. Shake off any excess flour.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. You’ll know it's hot enough when a small amount of water sizzles upon contact.

Cook the Salmon Bites: Carefully add the coated salmon bites to the skillet in a single layer (you may need to work in batches). Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the salmon is golden brown and crispy.

Prepare the Sauce: While the salmon bites are cooking, you can make some additional honey garlic sauce by combining 2 tablespoons honey and 1 tablespoon soy sauce in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until warm.

Serve: Once crispy and cooked through, remove the salmon bites from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Drizzle the warm honey garlic sauce over the top.

Garnish: Finally, sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving. Enjoy your crispy honey garlic salmon bites warm!
