Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites (Sweet & Spicy)

Made with fresh salmon fillets, panko breadcrumbs, and a spicy-sweet Bang Bang sauce, they're perfect for a quick appetizer or snack. With just a few simple ingredients and 30 minutes, you can have golden, crispy bites that are packed with flavor. Serve them up with a drizzle of sauce and enjoy a taste sensation that’s sure to impress!

Ingredients
  

1 lb salmon fillet, skinless and boneless, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 large egg

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Vegetable oil, for frying

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tbsp sweet chili sauce

1 tbsp sriracha (adjust for spice preference)

1 tbsp honey or maple syrup

1 tsp lime juice

Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions
 

Prepare the Salmon Bites: In a bowl, season the salmon pieces with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix until evenly coated.

    Setup the Breading Station: In three separate shallow bowls, set up your breading station. In the first bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, beat the egg. In the third bowl, add the panko breadcrumbs.

      Bread the Salmon: Dredge each salmon piece in flour, then dip it into the beaten egg, and finally coat it thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs. Place the breaded salmon bites on a plate.

        Heat the Oil: In a large frying pan, heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.

          Fry the Salmon Bites: Carefully add the breaded salmon bites to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

            Make the Bang Bang Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth.

              Serve: Arrange the crispy salmon bites on a serving platter, drizzle with the Bang Bang sauce, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately and enjoy!
