Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 package refrigerated pizza dough (about 13.8 oz)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Optional: sliced pickles, mustard, and ketchup for serving

Instructions

In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until the beef is cooked through and onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into squares, roughly 4x4 inches.

On one half of each square, place a spoonful of the ground beef mixture and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Leave one edge clear to seal.

Fold the other half of the dough square over the filling to create a pocket. Use a fork to press down the edges to seal well.

Brush the tops of the pockets with beaten egg for a golden finish.

Place the pockets on the prepared baking sheet, then bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Allow to cool slightly before serving. Serve with slices of pickles, mustard, and ketchup on the side if desired.
