Ingredients

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 teaspoons vegetable oil

1 onion, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced

1 cup broccoli florets

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked jasmine rice or noodles, for serving

Optional garnish: sliced green onions, sesame seeds

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced beef, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well to coat the beef evenly and let it marinate for about 15-20 minutes.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until it starts to brown. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, minced garlic, and ginger. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the bell pepper and broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Return the cooked beef to the skillet, along with any juices that accumulated. Drizzle with sesame oil, season with salt and pepper to taste, and stir everything together, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.

Serve the beef with oyster sauce over cooked jasmine rice or noodles. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
