Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Shrimp: In a large mixing bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp with melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, lemon zest, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Toss the shrimp until they are evenly coated with the mixture.

Arrange in Baking Dish: Transfer the shrimp mixture to a single layer in a large baking dish. Make sure the shrimp are spread out evenly for even cooking.

Bake the Shrimp: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook, as shrimp can become rubbery.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove the dish from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zest.

Enjoy: Pair your baked butter lemon shrimp with a side of steamed rice or fresh salad for a complete meal.
