Ingredients

For the Apple Filling:

3 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon butter

For the Cheesecake Layer:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 large egg

For the Bread:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup whole milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 large eggs

For the Apple Crisp Topping:

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup cold butter, cut into cubes

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Prepare the Apple Filling: In a medium saucepan, combine the diced apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter. Cook over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until the apples soften. Set aside to cool.

Make the Cheesecake Layer: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add the egg and mix until well combined. Set aside.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

Mix the Bread Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix just until combined. Do not overmix.

Layer the Ingredients in the Pan: Pour half of the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spread half of the cheesecake mixture over the batter, followed by half of the apple filling. Repeat with the remaining batter, cheesecake layer, and apples.

Prepare the Apple Crisp Topping: In a small bowl, mix the rolled oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles crumbs. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the loaf.

Bake: Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. If the top is browning too quickly, cover it with aluminum foil halfway through baking.

Cool: Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve: Slice and enjoy your Apple Crisp Cheesecake Bread warm or at room temperature. It's delicious on its own or served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
