Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger (or 1 teaspoon ground ginger)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for thickening)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Chopped green onions, for garnish

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger. Set aside.

Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes.

Add the Sauce: Pour the honey garlic sauce over the cooked chicken and bring to a simmer. Stir well to coat all pieces.

Thicken the Sauce: Add the cornstarch mixture to the skillet, stirring continuously. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and gets glossy.

Finishing Touch: Drizzle sesame oil over the chicken (if using) and stir to combine.

Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over rice or noodles.
